THE E-PRESCRIPTION
BENEFITS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE
Since January 2024, the e-prescription has offered patients and customers, doctors, pharmacies and health insurance companies a lot of convenience for prescription drugs, especially when patients need medication on a regular basis. Long trips to the doctor's office and possible waiting times are eliminated if only a follow-up prescription has to be issued and an examination by the doctor is not necessary. All in all - less paperwork and faster processing.
You can also easily redeem your e-prescription at our Rathaus- and Ring-Apotheke Schrobenhausen pharmacy. And if you can't come to us in person, you can also do it via your smartphone using an app.
THE E-PRESCRIPTION WORKS AS FOLLOWS
Creation and transmission
Your doctor creates the prescription digitally and signs it electronically. The prescription is then stored in a central system.
Receipt of the prescription code
You will receive a prescription code, either as a printout, on your health insurance card or directly on your smartphone via an e-prescription app.
Redemption at the pharmacy
With the app:
You can send the prescription code directly to your pharmacy. The pharmacy will receive the e-prescription and prepare your medication. All you have to do is pick it up.
On site:
You go to your pharmacy with the printout or the app and show the prescription code. The pharmacy scans the code and retrieves the prescription. You take the medication with you immediately, provided it is in stock.
Pick up or delivery
You can either pick up the medication directly from your pharmacy or, if offered, have it delivered to your home.
